Receiving cryptocurrency can be done with your wallet address for the particular crypto you want to receive. Wallet addresses are different so you must only use the wallet address for the crypto you are trying to send to your wallet and the right network.
How can I get my wallet address on the app?
- Click on the “Deposit” icon on the app.
- Select “Deposit Crypto” and choose your preferred crypto in the available list. (e.g., Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), etc.).
- Select the network, Ensure the selected network matches the network the sender is using. (For example, if you are receiving BTC, you might see options like "Bitcoin Network"
NB: Receiving a transaction on the wrong network may result in permanent loss.
- Your unique wallet address will be displayed as a string of letters and numbers, along with a QR code.
Tap the Copy Address button and share this copied address with the person or exchange sending you the cryptocurrency. Alternatively, the sender can scan the displayed QR code.
Important Note:
- Always Double-Check: Before confirming the transaction, ensure that the address you copied and shared is exactly the one displayed in your Quidax app for that specific coin.
- Memos/Tags: For some cryptocurrencies (like TON, USDT (Ton Network), XLM, or XRP) when receiving from another exchange wallet, you would be required to provide a Memo or Destination Tag in addition to the wallet address. If this is the case, your Quidax "Deposit" screen will display both the address and the tag.
NB: Failing to include the necessary Memo/Tag may result in loss of funds.
